An organic abstract forms inspired by cells, organs, and unknown living things that cannot be explained or identified. Through these watercolours, I explore forms of like that exist between birth and transformation, as states of becoming rather than completion.
The series is conceived as a fictional illustrated handbook, where these existences are held in a state of possibility: not yet named or classified, but just simply noticed and observed through consciousness.
Animal Skins explores the human tendency to project meaning and identity onto animals, transforming them into metaphors for human emotion, culture, and desire. Through abstract "skins", tactile surfaces, and fragmented close-up forms, the paintings blur the boundaries between the biological and the symbolic. By resisting clar classification, the works question how animals become reflections of the human psyche rather than beings in their own right.
This series explores the female bdy throught themes of identity, bodily autonomy, and the conflict between freedom of choice and forced choices. Inspired by the uterus, blood, and the brain, organic forms become fluid landscapes that blur the boundaries between anatomy and emotion. Rich textures and saturated colours evoke the physical and psychological experience of menstruation, creating spaces that speak of vulnerability, belonging, resilience, and transformation.
